Review: Henry Rose
Some people have a signature scent... Personally, I like to switch my scent up based on my mood, the season, where i'll be going that day, etc. I have several go-to scents in rotation at the moment. One thing all of those fragrances have in common, and is especially important to me, is that they're made with clean, non-toxic ingredients.
When I first heard about Henry Rose, a line of fine fragrances that are clean and cruelty free, I was so excited to try them. Finding clean and safe fragrances that stand up to their potentially-toxic competition in terms of quality is beyond difficult. There are 11 fragrances in the collection, divided into two categories -- fresh scents and warm scents. All 11 fragrances are available in this little discovery set so you can sniff and try all of the scents and have fun mixing and matching your favorites. The set also comes with a $20 off code, so when you find your favorite scent, you can buy a full-size bottle.
I have to say, i'm very picky when it comes to fragrance. Im faithful to the scents I love and skeptical of going outside my box, beautiful packaging makes a great scent even better, and, especially when it comes to clean fragrances, staying power is important -- no one likes to have to reapply their fragrance throughout the day. As particular as I can be, Henry Rose didn't disappoint. The scents are beautiful, feel luxurious and they stay strong throughout the entire day.
Some favorites were Torn, Queens and Monsters and Windows Down; although I think i'll be purchasing a full bottle of the one i loved most: Smyth. What I really loved about Smyth is that I've never smelled any fragrance like it, it's fresh, fruity and perfect for the upcoming spring/summer seasons. I can't say I disliked any of the scents, there aren't any that I can say I wouldn't wear if someone gave it to me as a gift.
Xo, Rose
